DOMINICA TWINNING CHALLENGE

Canada has 'twinned' with the country of Dominica.

To learn more about twinning and Dominica, check the National website.

There you will find  meeting ideas for every level from Sparks - Sr. Branches.

Upon completion of the twinning challenge, the  Dominica Twinning Patch (shown above)

can be purchased for the girls  at the Guide Store, Halifax.

Dominica Twinning Project – ADOPT A UNIT

Guiders in Dominica have little access to resources, so provinces and

territories across Canada have been given Districts in Dominica to support.

Nova Scotia is the only province supporting East District.

In February/08, Fraser Area and CB Coastal Area (Atlantic and South Districts)

assembled packages to send to Dominica.

In the package from Atlantic and South Districts was a craft idea

and the supplies to make the craft, along with scissors, pencils, markers, crayons,

glue sticks and white glue.

In March 2009, members of Louisbourg, Marconi and North Districts and Cape Breton

East Area will assemble another package for East District, Dominica.
